ERICA DAWN LYLE + VICE COOLER
LAND TRUST: BENEFIT FOR NORTH EAST FARMERS OF COLOR (NEFOC)
Originally conceived as a quarantine-era mutual aid project after Bikini Kill tour was canceled due to Covid in March 2020, Vice Cooler and I wrote songs together remotely via file sharing and then asked a bunch of our friends to help us finish the songs. Guest singers and bass players include Kim Gordon, Kathleen Hanna, The Raincoats, Brontez Purnell, Alice Bag, The Linda Lindas, Rachel Aggs, Mike Watt, Katie Alice Greer, Palberta, Kelley Deal, and many more! The end result is a 16-song LP available exclusively as a download from Bandcamp.
All proceeds will help NEFOC acquire and return land to Indigenous nations and to reconnect POC farmers to land. Order Here
SWADDLED WITH EASE #2: THE FULL BUCK MOON
All proceeds go to Bernadette Mayer.
In July 2021, I hosted a two day queer gathering for The Full Buck Moon, and all these poets read at my house. Now Midnight Piper Forman and I have compiled their readings from that event into this chapbook to raise money for our dear friend and neighbor, Bernadette Mayer, who has been diagnosed with cancer. Featuring Bernadette Mayer, Phil Good, Aristilde Kirby, Andy Izenson, (Er)ic Linsker, Iemanja Brown, Katie Fowley, Katie Taylor, Parisa Yekalmlari, Sarah Steadman, Suzanne Goldenberg, and Tyler Morse with an intro by Erica Dawn Lyle and cover art by Midnight Piper Forman. 44 pages, 2-color risograph printed cover.
All proceeds go to Bernadette Mayer.
ZINE LIBS #3: THE PANDEMIC ISSUE with Caroline Kern
All proceeds go to raise bail funds in New York City and for Survived and Punished NY
Sometime during the fall of 2020 – was it perhaps during Rudy Giuliani’s surreal press conference at Four Seasons Landscaping? – it started to become clear that Mad Libs was the only kind of writing that could actually come close to describing so-called reality anymore. So Caroline Kern and I decided to reunite and uh, capture the moment with the first issue of our old classic, Zine Libs, in well over a decade. ZINE LIBS #3: THE PANDEMIC EDITION is exclusively available from the online mutual aid bookstore BAILFRONT. All proceeds from sales go to raise money for bail funds in New York City and for Survived and Punished NY, a grassroots prison abolition organization, dedicated to freeing criminalized survivors of gender violence held in prisons in New York.
THE CENTER OF THE MILE LP
All of the proceeds from the sales of this digital album benefit the Emma Deboncoeur Scholarship Fund
Recorded with my best friend and longtime collaborator, Ivy Jeanne, on vocals, this acoustic record includes 18 songs pulled from the set lists of all of our bands together (Black Rainbow, Allergic To Bullshit, Miami, Los Canadians) along with covers of some of our old favorites by Dead Moon, Nip Drivers, The Plugz, Bobby “Blue” Bland, and Yogurt. All of the proceeds from the sales of this digital album benefit the Emma Deboncoeur Scholarship Fund, named in honor of our dearly beloved late friend, Emma. The scholarship will help support trans students who are furthering Emma’s research and activism in the field of transgender public health.
