CENTER OF THE MILE is finally out!
Last December, Ivy and I recorded 18 acoustic songs for a release that is to benefit a scholarship for transgender students in the public health program at UC Berkeley and UCSF. The album is the first document we’ve ever attempted of our occasional live acoustic formation and includes one new song as well as acoustic versions of songs by all of our bands together (Black Rainbow, Allergic To Bullshit, Miami, Los Canadians) and covers of old favorites by Dead Moon, Nip Drivers, The Plugz, Bobby “Blue” Bland, and Yogurt. This recording is to be released as a limited edition cassette with an accompanying magazine of lyrics and later in the year on Dead Broke Records. But in the meantime, ALL OF THE PROCEEDS from the online sales of this album will go to the Emma Deboncoeur Scholarship Fund, named in honor of our dearly beloved late friend, Emma. The scholarship will help support trans students who are furthering Emma’s research and activism in the field of transgender public health.
Click here if you want to check it out! The record is $10 and includes an option to donate more if you feel like it. Thanks to Bandcamp for generously lowering the amount of fees they collect from each sale.
